All "Shit Shop" suggestion posts made outside of this thread will be moved here to aggregate all ideas together.

We ask the RealShit community to share any suggestions, making sure to be as detailed as possible, in this thread so that we can deliver the best possible products for sale.

We will update this post to reflect the desires of our community, organized into the following categories:

Wants​

  • Colorized user names
    • Color preferences?
  • Flashing user names
  • Avatar borders: From solid colors to halo glowing effects

Items now available for sale​

Username Modifications​

  • Bolden Your Name - Make your username appear around the RealShit forum
    • 24 of 25 Items remaining before being sold out and removed from the Shop
  • Cherries & Berries - Display your username with the effect of an emergency vehicle with its lights on in a foggy night.
    • 9 of 10 items remaining before being sold out. It will be stocked again by popular demand, or a new item created with another color.
  • Blinker - Have your username rapidly blink 3 times before returning to its solid state.
    • 4 of 5 remaining; it may be an exclusive item, depending on demand.
  • Spectrum Shift - Make your username stroked in the colors of a rainbow.
    • 2 of 3 remaining.
  • Italify Name - Make your username italicized around the RealShit forum.
    • 4 of 5 remaining.

Avatar Modifications​

  • Red Ring of Fire - Display a red ring around your avatar seen on the forum where avatars are displayed.
    • 5 of 5 items remaining before being sold out. It will be stocked again by popular demand, or a new item created with another color.
  • Halo of Righteousness - Add a glowing yellow halo to your avatar.
    • 2 of 2 remaining
  • Atomic Wasteland - Make your avatar stand out with animated radiation warning colors.
    • 1 of 2 remaining.

User Title Modifications​

  • Title Glow - Configure your user title to glow with a color of your choice.
    • 9 of 10 remaining

Miscellaneous Forum Items​

  • Thread Locker One - Lock (1) of your threads to replies only made by you.
    • 5 of 5 items remaining before being sold out and removed from the Shop
  • A Simple Signature - A forum signature with 255 characters, of which 3 can be emojis.
    • 24 of 25 remaining but it is not an exclusive item and will be regularly restocked as it will be the basic signature level on RealShit.

I purchased the 'Bolden your Name' for $150. I in time want to be able to colorize it and have it flashing as well.
 
Multi colored frames around our profile circle would be ideal. Not sure if this is technically doable or available. I have seen colored frames around square avatars before.
 
You can use something like this to modify the coding method for different avatar colors. XF\Template\Templater::getDefaultAvatarStyling. Then you could use this coding to color logic whatever you want. Basic coding ability will be required.:geek:

This can be achieved using CSS alone, but it would apply to all users. Therefore, custom coding is necessary to implement it on an individual username basis.

It’s an interesting concept, and we plan to incorporate it, possibly using a solid color instead of the double line shown below, to possibly even create a "good" and "bad" halo effect. When implemented, there may be various types of borders available for purchase at once or just a single one to start.

The goal isn't to saturate the Shit Shop with too many items, but to introduce a few at a time so they can become collectible later as they are sold out over time.

Thread Locker One has been added to the Shit Shop.

This item allows you to lock one of your threads so that only you can reply to it. Only 5 of these items will ever be available for purchase.

To prevent misuse, users can only lock and unlock their single thread every 72 hours. Alternatively, they must wait 72 hours to lock a new thread after unlocking an existing one. If this item is abused, RealShit may confiscate it and make it available for purchase by someone else again.

The Red Ring of Fire has been added to the Shit Shop for a price of 𝓢750.

There are only going to be 5 in stock. Stock is replenished on a sell-back basis of 𝓢350.

It can be activated or deactivated quickly using the button in your Postbit information or on the Shit Shop Inventory page.

"Look at the Lights" has been released for Ṩ500. There will only be 10 of these items available in total.

Applying this will create a glowing effect for your username. You can also combine it with Bolden Your Name for an added touch.

A Simple Signature is now available in the Shit Shop!

This forum upgrade lets you add a straightforward signature of up to 255 characters and 3 emojis beneath each of your posts.

It costs Ṩ100 Shit Coins, with 25 currently in stock, but it won’t be a limited item and will be restocked regularly.

If signatures become a popular feature on RealShit, we may increase the character limits, add more lines, allow formatting options, and even allow links in signatures.

Thanks to @Aufscherin's helpful feedback on the "Look at the Lights" username effect, we've renamed it to "Cherries & Berries" to better match the item and its actual behavior. We recognize that describing it as a "glow" was incorrect, as the effect flashes blue and amber against a white hue, resembling a U.S. police vehicle's emergency lights in a foggy night setting, which matches the RealShit's forum style colors.
