If you follow sports religiously, then you have more than likely seen a player develop into one of the best of all time and then leave via free agency. Whether it be players like LeBron James leaving Cleveland (the first time), Peyton Manning leaving Indianapolis and now Tom Brady leaving the Patriots, what player turned legend ended up leaving your team?

In Baltimore, we really haven't had any true legends leave except Ed Reed and Terrell Suggs, but there were some in recent years such as Manny Machado and Joe Flacco who were cut or traded.

I know the feeling which comes with having your favorite player transfer to another team. Well, for me, it was Lionel Messi leaving Barcelona. He was very fantastic and had done awesome things in the field of play. . Sometimes players transfer to other teams so as to experiment, or be able to win more matches. It may not be easy but there are always something to the change, much like when you transfer to a new school or change neighbourhoods.

Ken Griffey Jr. left the Seattle Mariners in 1999 for the Cincinnati Reds. However, he returned to the Mariners in 2009 for a year, but I was already in Japan by then.

I used to follow my sports heroes wherever they are transferred to. But I don't seem to find any enjoyment in it. So I stick to my club. There’s more to following our sporting heroes everywhere they go. Like everyone else, they also have families and friends and might need a change of environment to get even closer to them.
