We all use social media, social media platforms are a good method to build connections, get work opportunities, etc. but sadly most of us are not using social media properly. In fact we are over using it and worsening our mental health. It is important to set social media boundaries to improve mental health. How do you do it?
 
I tend to get carried away each time I visit TikTok. I will end up spending hours without knowing. For this reason, it's very important to set boundaries. I set an alarm each time I want to use social media; this allows me to maintain healthy boundaries.
 
Social media is my big problem. When I see it, I neglect activities and start to focus only on it. What I do is disengaged all of my notifications and I also make sure to focus more on important activities. There was a time I deleted some social apps from my phone. Yeah! That's the extent I can go to set social media boundaries
 
I try to use social media like a tool instead of something for connecting with people close to me. I search for jobs, post what I am working on, or stuff I find, but do not use it for connections. That use of social media failed when businesses atred using it for advertising and marketing.

Using social media like this naturally allows me to set strict boundaries, and I do not spend more than a few hours on it.
