GDEV recently celebrated a major achievement for its flagship game, Hero Wars, with the browser-based version, Hero Wars: Dominion Era, surpassing 75 million installations worldwide. Since its release in October 2016, the game has generated over $650 million in lifetime revenue across PC platforms, including its official website and social media sites. This milestone reflects eight years of growth and sustained player engagement.
Meanwhile, the mobile version, Hero Wars: Alliance, achieved over 150 million downloads globally and topped $1.5 billion in in-app purchase revenue earlier in the year. A recent collaboration with the Tomb Raider series, which introduced Lara Croft as a character, led to a 25% rise in new paying players, boosting revenue for both versions.
As of December 2023, the Hero Wars franchise sees over 7 million monthly active users, with a significant portion of revenue coming from the U.S. (35%), followed by Asia (25%) and Europe (20%).
