Evan Mock (Gossip Girl) and Chloe East (Heretic) are joining Kevin Costner and Daniel Zovatto in Headhunters, an upcoming thriller described as blending “surf culture’s kinetic energy with horror suspense.” Directed by cinematographer Steven Holleran in his feature debut, Headhunters starts filming in January, with Holleran and Costner co-writing the script.

The plot follows Costner’s character, Lazer, a washed-up American ex-pat in Bali who leads a group of surfers on an expedition to a mysterious island in search of the “perfect wave.” But paradise turns deadly when they encounter an ancient tribe of headhunters who will defend their land at any cost.

Costner is also producing the film through his Territory Pictures, alongside Stone Village Films’ Scott Steindorff. The production team includes cinematographer Ericson Core, production designer Derek Hill, and costume designer Lisa Lovaas.

Mock, a Hawaii native and known figure in surf culture, adds to his credits with Headhunters, while East joins fresh off her acclaimed role in Heretic. With a unique mix of tropical adventure and horror, Headhunters promises a thrilling cinematic ride.

I love horror movies even though it's scary.i can't wait to get on this one for real. The story sounds interesting to me and I might jump on it immediately it's released because I'm really a big fan, especially if it's a mix of action and suspense. It will keep me on the edge of my seat.

This sounds very much like an epic adventue. What I do want to know is how the surfers will really interact with the ancient tribe. Are they going to learn from each other or clash? I need answers to this, probably when I watch it.
