I haven't really given K-pop much thought because I feel I might not relate with the genre. My sister was introduced to BTS some years ago and she has been jamming their songs since then.
Most of my female friends are pretty much hooked on BTS and other K-pop artists, I assume it is because of their good looks and not the songs!

Do you think K-pop is any good? Do you listen to it?

No. It's not about the looks of the artists. It's about the diversity, the lyrics and the visuals. K-Pop blends other genres with Korean music. l'm beginning to like K-Pop because there is something for everyone. It blends with R&B, jazz, rock, reggae, etc.

I know a few names in the k pop industry such as BTS, Black Pearl and Momoland but I have never listened to their songs in their entirety. I have only listened to bits and pieces.

I only know of K-pop band names because my daughter is obsessed with the genre. To me, I can't listen to it, cause it's in another foreign language that I'd have to get a small grasp of.

I hold lyrics in high regard when it comes to music. I can't listen to an empty message with a good beat for too long. So, since I can't understand what they're singing about, I can't really enjoy it much if I even put it on.

I only recently became a fan of K-Pop. Before, I disliked it because I couldn’t understand the lyrics. However, now I'm a fan of BTS and BlackPink! I learned to appreciate K-pop during the height of the pandemic.
